A simple, uplifting blend of lemon balm, hawthorn, and hibiscus — my go-to flower tea for calm energy and a touch of brightness.
I Love Blending Teas
There’s no denying it – I love tea. Hot or cold, spicy or floral, simple or complex, I enjoy it all. One of the best parts of being an herbalist is having such a wide variety of herbs to mix and match in a teapot. My favorite blend is the one I reach for whenever my calm energy starts to drag. It’s a little citrus, a little floral, with just a hint of zing. I call it my flower tea.
🌸The Blend
Lemon Balm — 1/4 cup. calm and uplifting.
Hawthorn Flower — 1/4 cup. heart-supportive, gentle and steady.
Hibiscus Flower — a dash for brightness and zing, to taste.

🌿How I Enjoy It
This is a summertime favorite for me, but I love it in any season. I mix the herbs together and keep them in a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. It looks beautiful, so I keep it on display in my kitchen.

Sometimes, especially in the evening, I drink it hot with just a touch of sugar. It’s the perfect companion for winding down with a favorite show or curling up with a book. Other times, I make it as a cold tea, letting it steep on the stove, then cool before pouring over ice with a squeeze of lemon. It’s refreshing, energizing, and so easy to enjoy.
What I love most is that it’s always ready. No fuss, no overthinking – just hot water, herbs, and a moment of calm.
✨ An Invitation
If you were to make your own flower tea, what would you put in it?
